Sarah Palin: At Your Service

Will Sarah Palin run for the presidency in 2012? It’s the question of the day.
Yes, no, maybe so, and the ever so infamous: “She won’t because she wouldn’t want to give up what she has now.” Every political strategist and just about every stranger on the street has an opinion.
Let’s take a look at that last analysis. What does she have now? Essentially: flexibility and a megaphone.
She doesn’t have to attend the speaking engagements or TV appearances of which she’s invited. She can write a Facebook note or Twitter a comment and for a concise moment the political world comes to a screeching halt to hear what she has to say.
There’s only one small problem with these circumstances…Everyday of Sarah Palin’s life she’s strived to achieve more than the previous day. She is wholeheartedly determined to better the world around her. With that being said, I’d say she’s just about finished with being plain ole’ Fox News contributor, Sarah Palin.
There is one more comment I would like to address: “There’s no way she’s running, a Governor would never step down if they considered running for the presidency in the future.” Here’s my response… Sarah doesn’t plan by primarily considering her own political future or clout.
The elites would laugh at that statement. But why? What’s so amusing about a politician that doesn’t plan for their own political good? It may seem unethical to some, perhaps unparalleled to others but it’s the Palin way of doing things.
The Palin way of doing things knows no “I” or “me”. Just take a look at her selfless political past. She puts the interest of the people she’s serving first and foremost.
If I had a penny for every time Sarah Palin was pronounced politically dead, my piggy bank would be filled to the brim. Her ethics may seem hasty to political strategists, to her colleagues, possibly even to her advisers.
Sarah Palin is America. She is your hardworking neighbor who leaves his house at 6am and returns at 8pm. She is your patriotic son or daughter who yearns for a successful future. She is your mother who loves inconceivably, who hopes for her children and grandchildren. Sarah Palin lives, loves and breathes America and everything we are.
I realize not one single person [on earth] has all the answers but if you long for a leader with God-given gut instinct, concrete personal inner strength, modest humility, and pure love for country; she’s your gal.

Palin Talks Tough on D.C. Changes Needed Now

Gov. Palin on Fox News:
Justice with Judge Jeanine
Last night on Justice with Judge Jeanine, Governor Palin talked tough on D.C. changes needed now, gas prices and foreign policy.

When asked if the Wisconsin lawmakers should they be fired for “running and hiding” from a vote on an anti-union bill, Palin said, “Yeah they absolutely should be fired, they should be recalled. They’ve retreated; they’re not doing their job. Wisconsin Governor [Scott Walker] is doing all that he can to allow his state to be solvent and he certainly isn’t getting any help from the democrats.”

Judge Jeanine mentioned some in the Tea Party are willing to risk a government shutdown if their compromise with the federal budget isn’t met. Palin responded, “I’m not buying into all the rhetoric that we have to result in a government shutdown. We bring in 7 billion dollars a day, if we took that 7 billion dollars a day and fund the essentials, service our debt, those things coming first as our highest priority then this whole budget discussion doesn’t have to lead to a government shutdown.”

On Gas Prices:

“Drill here, drill now and the Obama anti-oil agenda has got to be stopped, he needs to realize that back in 08’ our US crude was also traded at about 100 dollars a barrel as it is today, for about 6 months and that was right before our world economy imploded and now here we are back again, his timing, his destructive timing of locking up 97% of our offshore and not allowing ANWR to be touched, not allowing domestic drilling to take place, to the degree that it should; it is terrifying where he is leading us in the terms of being reliant of foreign regimes that would seek our demise to produce energy for us.”

On Foreign Aid to Israel:

“When it comes to Israel, I stand strong with Israel and unapologetically I say that America should keep this strong democratic ally that we have there in the Middle East and allow for protection around Israel.”

Real Courage is Cutting During Prosperity

Gov. Sarah Palin on Fox Business
Last night former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin appeared on America's Nightly Scoreboard, with host David Asman.

At one point during the interview David informs Palin that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie had told Fox Business News that he didn't see any politician as inspiring. "Do you?" Asman asked Palin.

"Heck yeah, I am so thankful for all these common sense conservative politicians to serve and cut for the right reasons," she said.

Palin continued, “And with all due respect to Governor Christie, you know he has no choice but to cut budgets because he's broke, his state is broke. What courage really is, is in the face of having a surplus when you have opportunity to spend, spend, spend other people's money, and you still choose to rein in government to let the private sector soar."

Palin said as governor she trimmed Alaska's budget, during a time when her state had a surplus. She reduced earmarks by 86 percent, implemented a hiring freeze and vetoed the largest amounts of spending in Alaska state history.

During her time in office, Governor Palin attended a news conference where she discussed her budget cuts and suggested they should send a message to lawmakers for next year's budget considerations. “We need to live within our means,” Palin said. “Even though we have a surplus, that doesn't warrant a spending spree.”
