From Drill Baby Drill to Soar Baby Soar

As we observe what is happening in the Middle East, we need to strongly consider what we can be doing here at home to further America’s energy independence; not only for our livelihood but for our nation’s security.

What has our current leader done to advance this mission?

President Obama has done everything possible to restrain domestic energy production. From implementing a drilling moratorium in deep water, a de facto drilling moratorium in shallow water to refusing to grant deep-water permits in the gulf. Government action on Gulf drilling permits ALONE would directly calm the oil markets and bring down prices, even though new production would not come for several years.

It’s not just the Gulf of Mexico that is off limits. Obama opposes drilling anywhere offshore, including in the rich arctic region which is known to hold billions of barrels of oil reserves. But instead of reducing prices, Obama seems to be hell bent on driving them up. Could it be our current leader is more interested in kowtowing to environmental donors in advance of the 2012 election?

What do I have to say to all this pish posh? “DRILL BABY, DRILL.”

Sarah Palin is a strong advocate for an energy policy. She wants to produce more domestic energy and buy less overseas. She realizes the importance for America to rely less on foreign regimes for one of our most used resources. As the former governor of one of America’s largest energy-producing states, a state oil and gas commissioner and chair of the nation’s Interstate Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, I’d say she knows a thing or two about the matter.

One Does Not Raise a Mallet to Crush an Ant

The "Lamestream" Media, the spiteful Left, and the faithful Obama Kool-Aid drinkers have relentlessly attempted to besmirch the name:  Sarah Palin.

At first, it was an attempt to discredit the opposition. But why must the beat go on? They couldn't possibly continue to see her as a threat, could they? After all, according to these "experts" she's just a brainless, unaccomplished nobody.

Below are a few excerpts from an article written by David Solway at Pajamas Media:
"Let me begin with a paradox. The more Sarah Palin seems unelectable, the more electable she may actually be. The media blitzkrieg launched against Palin may be interpreted not as a sign of her unfitness for office but precisely as a measure of her eligibility. Palin’s electability can be reckoned as an inverse function of the virulent campaign intent on her delegitimation. The greater the fury she is met with, the greater the likelihood that she poses a genuine threat. One does not raise a mallet to crush an ant.

We are told that Palin’s “national negatives” are too high for her to be regarded as a viable candidate. But this is to forget that such “negatives” are mainly the result of a coordinated media assault whose effect can be mitigated with time, intelligent pushback and increased exposure on the ground. Presence can counter image and word of mouth can triumph over print. Negatives can be neutralized and even turned into positives. Harry Truman’s whistle-stop tour through the American heartland enabled him to upstage a heavily-favored Tom Dewey in 1948. The cries of “Give ‘em Hell, Harry,” which became his campaign theme, can translate in the present context as “Give ‘em Hell, Sarah,” if she takes her show on the road.

We are also told that Palin has polarized the nation, which is the fiction the media wants us to accept. The truth is that America has been unraveling since the ’60s and that Obama, not Palin, has even further divided the nation, so much so that America has come to resemble not a single, unified country but two or more countries in a state of internecine conflict. It is Obama, the putative redeemer of his nation and the great healer, who, through both his agenda and his failings, has brought his nation to the very brink.

The enemy goes by the name of the Democratic Party of America, cosmetically liberal or “progressivist” in its self-definition but inherently socialist in its subtabular project. It is redistributionist in its economics, transnational in its foreign policy and Islamic in its sympathies. It shares a profound solidarity with an anachronistic trade unionist movement, works diligently against the entrepreneurial sector, pursues an extensive entitlement program at the expense of the country’s future solvency, accumulates unpayable debt, prints imaginary money and is corrosively skeptical of its own armed forces, gradually ceding the geopolitical field to America’s fervid antagonists. It is persistently re-interpreting the bedrock Constitution to weaken its binding force and is guilty of rampant electoral corruption. It sees the nation as a private fiefdom that it intends to control in perpetuity.

The good news is that it may not be too late. With the plausible assumption that Obama will ultimately reveal himself as the “throwback kid,” recycling a hoary and bankrupt Marxist archetype regardless of his histrionic attempts at a faux centrism; with the media behaving as Obama’s dutiful caddies and discrediting themselves by the day; with the Tea Party acting as America’s reinvigorated conscience; and if Palin maintains her visibility as simply who she is, America may — just may — experience the shock of memory, recall its former glories, embark upon its painstaking restoration and, at the same time, find itself with its first female president. A long shot? Maybe, maybe not."
If she truly has no chance of defeating Obama in 2012, why not dedicate all their time and resources to defame Republican candidates who can?

Oh What Tangled Web's We Weave

Some people will believe anything that is said about Sarah Palin.

Us Weekly reported that Governor Palin had some harsh things to say about Christina Aguilera who fumbled (pun intended) the singing of the National Anthem at the Super Bowl last weekend.

Us reported that Palin said Aguilera was "—a demanding beauty queen who's clearly in over her head.. Unemployment is at nine percent, yet we have to suffer through a performance by a foreigner with a poor grasp of the English language. If I were president, I'd deport Ms. Aguilera back to wherever it is she's from and give Amy Smart a call."

The problem is Sarah Palin never made such a comment. Us Weekly was quoting a fake story in a satirical website called “Super Tuesday News”.

Turns out Us Weekly wasn’t the only media outlet to fall for the false statement. Time Magazine fell for the same cock-and-bull story!

There is a happy ending to this madness; (not only will Sarah Palin run and win in 2012), but in defense, Palin sent an e-mail to Time Magazine congressional correspondent, Jay Newton:
“Subject: Great job, MSM!

Jay – pls tell your bosses there at Time Magazine thank you for the invitations to attend the upcoming functions. I’ll sure put a lot of thought into those invitations.
Then, have your editors retract Time’s most recent ridiculous lies about me supposedly giving Sean Hannity a radio interview wherein I supposedly talked about Christina Aguilera (that I slammed her for her Nat’l Anthem mistake, and called for her deportation, etc). You guys were fooled into running a fake story that even US Weekly pulled and apologized for their blunder. Total lies – and you guys (once again) even put quotation marks around things I have never uttered. Then, Time needs to run an apology to Christina along with the retraction. (Add Hannity in your apology, too…those good folks don’t deserve to be in a caustic, untrue story about me.) Thanks much – keep up the great work, Time Magazine.”

New Addition to the Palin Army

Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines...

CNN is reporting that Governor Sarah Palin has hired an expert Republican strategist to serve as chief-of-staff for her political action committee (SarahPAC).

Michael Glassner, an attorney and longtime adviser to former Kansas senator and presidential candidate Bob Dole, has signed on to guide the former Alaska governor's political operation.

The hire, confirmed to The Associated Press on Saturday morning by Palin aide Rebecca Mansour and SarahPAC Treasurer Tim Crawford, is certain to fuel fresh speculation about Palin's possible intent to run for president in 2012.
"We are happy and excited that Mike is joining our team," Sarah PAC Treasurer Tim Crawford told CNN.

Will the Real Sarah Palin Please Stand Up?

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! Wait, is that the real Sarah Palin?

Governor Sarah Palin was not expected to attend this years CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) but for a moment some attendees thought there may have been a change of plans.

While former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney was making last minute adjustments to his “do” before taking stage, a woman resembling Sarah Palin strolled through the lobby immediately sparking attention from attendees.

“I’m here for CPAC,” said Patti Lyons, “Plus I heard they had some good mooseburgers.” Patti has done the Palin impersonation before. Her website even calls her “the world’s premier Governor Palin impressionist”, you can book Patti by calling 865-546-0000.

It seems even when Sarah is absent she has the ability to draw a crowd.

On This Day 47 Years Ago

On this day 47 years ago, a passionate spirit for the American dream was bestowed upon a baby girl in the cold sleepy town of Sandpoint, Idaho.
Sarah Louise (Heath) Palin

Meaning of the name
Sarah:  lady, princess.
Meaning of the name Louise:  warrior.
Meaning of the name Palin:  servant.

In my view, the meaning that is most profound:  WARRIOR.

Definition of the word:

war·ri·or [wawr-ee-er] A warrior is a person experienced in or capable of engaging in combat or warfare, especially within the context of a tribal or clan-based society that recognizes a separate warrior class. According to the Random House Dictionary, the term warrior has two meanings. The first literal use refers to "someone engaged or experienced in warfare." The second figurative use refers to "a person who shows or has shown great vigor, courage, or aggressiveness, as in politics or athletics." (Wikipedia)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the brave one, keep fighting the good fight, we’ve got your back!

Summons To Sarah Louise Heath Palin

As some of you may know, I recently headed a project asking you to write a letter to Sarah Palin encouraging her to make a run for the White House.

I asked that the letters be mailed to me and I would compile the letters and mail them all together. My goal was to reach 50 letters, and we've just about done it!

The letters are being mailed out today and will be on their way to Alaska by noon.

Below you will find the "Summons" that is be used as the "cover letter" for this project.

Thank you all who participated in this project and most importantly, for supporting future President Sarah Palin!

Bristol Palin on President Palin: "She Would Be A Wonderful President"

Mama Grizzly, Sarah Palin will run for president if daughter, Bristol has anything to do with it.
In an interview that aired Monday on the E! Bristol Palin said she thinks her mom “would be a wonderful president.”
“I still think she should run,” she said. “She’s just so common-sense conservative... just, ‘Here’s what we’ve got to do and this is how we’re going to do it.’”
Sarah Palin told The New York Times:“I’m engaged in the internal deliberations [for a presidential bid] candidly, and having that discussion with my family, because my family is the most important consideration here.”
Well, Sarah it seems your cub has got your back, should you make a run for it.
Bristol went on to say: “I feel like for every one or two haters out there, there are 20 more people that support us,” Bristol told E! “So, it doesn't really affect me when people say negative things about me or my family, but I just really hope that nobody else has to go through that.”
You've got that right, Bristol. I believe the Palin support base is larger than anyone could ever imagine. Only time can prove me right and the clock is ticking...

Sarah Palin: Quick Facts to Educate the Uneducated or Misinformed

Sarah Palin was a sitting governor, and at that time, before the Obama campaign and their allies in the press spent months relentlessly smearing her good name, she had the highest approval ratings of any governor in the country [http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/013/851orcjq.asp]

She was also responsible for getting the largest energy project in North American history underway after several decades of interminable delays in Alaska [http://www.newsweek.com/2008/09/19/palin-s-pipeline-to-nowhere.html].

She was a courageous corruption-busting whistleblower who turned in the leader of her own party in Alaska for his corrupt practices [http://www.adn.com/2007/07/10/150137/palin-signs-ethics-reforms.html].

She was a fiscal conservative who made the largest veto cuts in Alaska history [http://www.alaskajournal.com/stories/070807/hom_20070708005.shtml], reined in the reckless waste, cut her own expenses, sold the governor’s private jet [http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2008/sep/04/sarah-palin/no-bidders-on-ebay-sold-it-offline/], let the personal chef go [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah_Palin#cite_note-alaskajournal1-105], and put away billions of dollars in savings for Alaska for a rainy day [http://web.archive.org/web/20080527181734/http://www.adn.com/legislature/story/415749.html].

She was a tough CEO who went toe to toe with the Big Oil companies and fought to get the best deal for Alaskans, the resource owners she represented [http://onfaith.washingtonpost.com/postglobal/energywire/2008/08/sarah_palin_and_big_oil.html]. And she did all of this as a woman from a modest background who was entirely self-made – without the benefit of a rich or influential father or husband.

There are a few things that people like to bring up about Sarah and one of the most common is in regards to her stepping down as Governor. But to me, her stepping down as Governor was the noblest, selfless act I've seen in a state official. Below is an excerpt from her book “Going Rogue” explaining how her administration was paralyzed once she came back from the 2008 campaign.

"My administration was hit with hundreds of demands for all communications: months' worth of e-mails between me, Todd, and my staff, and every other combination of e-mail addresses you can imagine. Only the opposition really comprehends the work involved with FOIA requests--from the retrieval of all correspondence and e-mails, to copying them for lawyers and staff to review in order to remove confidential or privileged information, to assembling and packing them, and on and on. Just ONE of these requests for a certain batch of e-mails generated 24,000 individual sheets of paper. So instead of doing out jobs, my staff, including my attorneys, spend thousands of hours and wasted more that $2 million of public monies to sort through it all one sheet at a time... Combined with the FOIAs, the sheer volume of paperwork and legally required responses brought the business of governing the state of Alaska to a grinding halt. Eventually, it overwhelmed us--and was obviously meant to."
