Governor Palin: For Such A Time As This

Today Governor Palin re-posted a Facebook note reminding newly elected congressional freshmen why they were elected by voters during the 2010 midterm elections:
"Out here in proverbial politico flyover country, we little folk are watching the debt ceiling debate with great interest and concern. Today I re-read the open letter I wrote to Republican Freshman Members of Congress in November 2010, just days after they were ushered into office in an historic landslide victory due in large part to the activism of commonsense patriots who are considered part of the Tea Party movement. I respectfully ask these GOP Freshman to re-read this letter and remember us “little people” who believed in them, donated to their campaigns, spent hours tirelessly volunteering for them, and trusted them with our votes. This new wave of public servants may recall that they were sent to D.C. for such a time as this.

The original letter is pasted below, with added emphasis to certain passages that I feel are especially relevant to the current discussion.

All my best to you, GOP Freshmen, from up here in the Last Frontier.

Sincerely,

Sarah Palin

P.S. Everyone I talk to still believes in contested primaries."

Preview of the 'Restoring America Event'

Tea Party America, the organization managing the “Restoring America Event” on September 3rd at which the Governor will be delivering a keynote address, posted a press release online.

The press release also included a statement from Governor Palin herself:
“I’m very excited to join grassroots Iowans at the ‘Restoring America’ event over Labor Day Weekend,” Governor Palin said. “Gatherings like this of independent liberty-loving Americans from every walk of life exemplify our commitment to come together to seek solutions to the problems confronting our nation. As I’ve said many times, including at Pella during my last visit to Iowa: We don’t need a ‘fundamental transformation’ of America. We need a restoration of all that is good and strong and free. The 2012 election will be a great debate between those two conflicting visions for our country.”
The Tea Party of America’s “Restoring America” event will be held at Hawkeye Antique Acres in Waukee, Iowa from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Parking for the event is $3.00, entrance fee is free.

Visit the Tea Party of America website for more information.

It’s the Spending, Stupid!

Last night Governor Sarah Palin was interviewed by Greta Van Susteren on the Fox News Channel. When asked her thoughts on raising the debt ceiling and the debt debate going on in Washington she replied:
“Let me go back to President Obama and what his problem is. He doesn't understand that we have a spending problem in this country. And you know, back in the day, we used to hear that, "Hey, it's the economy stupid." Well, now, simply put, it's the spending, stupid! What's going on now with our bloated, overreaching, fat, nauseating spending from federal government, taking more state and individual control from Americans and trying to do it all on a federal level, which is creating this bankrupt situation that we're facing now! It's immoral. It's unethical. It doesn't make any sense economically, or as I say, morally, because we're handing these bills to our children and our grandchildren.”

Sarah Palin to Keynote Tea Party Rally in Iowa Labor Day Weekend

Adding more fuel to speculation that Sarah Palin will throw her hat into the 2012 presidential ring, the former Alaska governor has accepted an invitation to keynote a Tea Party rally in Waukee, Iowa, on Sept. 3.

When recently asked on the timing of a possible announcement, Palin told Fox News:
"Legally, of course, there are time frames and that time is coming rapidly in front of all of us," Palin told Fox News Wednesday, "you know, August and September, you do have to start laying out a plan if you are to be one to throw your hat in the ring."
The Labor Day weekend Tea Party event looks as though it would be perfect timing to Palin’s deadline.

Sarah Plain Palin

The resignation of Sarah Palin as Governor of Alaska was announced on July 3, 2009 and became effective on this very day two years ago.

As Governor Palin has said multiple times, “You don’t need an office. You don’t need a title. And, you don’t need a TelePrompter to make a difference.”

She has made that statement abundantly clear over the past two years…

From the release of two best selling books, to the premiere of a TLC show that achieved record breaking ratings, to a 68% success rate of electing ‘rogue’ candidates endorsed by Governor Palin during the 2010 midterm elections, to being a Fox News contributor whom effectively has taken on the Obama administration and the disastrous policies coming from the White House, to charity work abroad, to stumping at one of the largest grassroots rallies in Washington DC, to launching a bus tour that further fueled speculation of a 2012 presidential run, to the release of documentary settling in at #15 in the all-time highest grossing debut— I’d say plain ole’ private citizen Sarah Palin has been quite the victor.

I’m sure I’ve missed some of the noteworthy accomplishments over the past two years of this ‘ordinary’ gal from Alaska but I know how badly it pains her detractors to recall the triumphs of a woman whom they hoped to effectively ruin politically.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: If I had a penny for every time Sarah Palin was pronounced politically dead; I’d be a rich woman—better yet, I could solve our nation’s debt crisis.

“The Undefeated” – Crunching the Numbers

The Undefeated has been a tremendous success—though you wouldn't hear it from the “Lamestream Media”.

The film premiered in 10 different locations, grossing $65,132, or $6513 per screen during its opening weekend. We also know that at various locations, the documentary sold out entirely and acquired as much as $10,000 per screen.

This is a big darn deal, folks. To help you grasp the reality of this significant achievement, let’s take a look at some numbers.

H/T John Nolte @ Big Hollywood:
In the Box Office Mojo (see chart below and the original here) which looks at historical theatrical opening weekend numbers of political documentaries going back 20 years, ”The Undefeated” did remarkably well in the only categories that matter.
Compared to every other political documentary ever made:
1. “The Undefeated” ranks as #15 in the all-time highest grossing debut category (and this includes Michael Moore’s unique hold on this category). However — and this is a mighty important however – nine of the films ranked above the Palin doc opened on more screens — in some cases, hundreds more.
2. On a comparative number of screens (less than 10), “The Undefeated” enjoyed the fifth highest-grossing debut in the history of political documentaries.
3. Opening on a comparative number of screens (5 to 25), “The Undefeated” enjoyed the sixth highest per-screen average in the history of political documentaries.
4. Compared to the per screen of “The Undefeated” to EVERY political documentary released on fewer than 10 screens, (all the way down to one, two, and three screens) although this is not apples-to-apples when you’re talking about a film released on ten screens but even with that apples-to-oranges comparison, the Palin documentary comes in at #11 ALL-TIME.
You will hear the “Lamestream Media” using words like “tepid” or “flop” in regards to the success of this film but it’s my philosophy to report the cold hard facts and I think you’d agree—these numbers don’t lie.

A Woman of "True Grit"

One of my favorite western movies of all time is a film called, "True Grit." For those of you who are familiar with the film, you are probably thinking I am a fan of this movie for the audacious character played by John Wayne.

And you'd be wrong.

I'm a fan of this movie because of the character played by a young girl named Maddie Ross. Fourteen-year-old Maddie Ross joins an aging U.S. marshal named Rooster and a Texas Ranger named Le Beouf, in tracking her father's killer—Tom Chaney, into hostile Indian territory.

It takes some convincing but Maddie Ross is able to persuade Rooster to join them in their expedition—or so she perceives.

The two men and little lady agree to meet early in the morning to begin their long journey. Upon Maddie’s arrival, she discovers Rooster had already hit the trail with his sidekick Le Beouf.

But that didn’t stop Maddie Ross.

Maddie jumps on her horse and hits the trail. She catches up with the men where all that separates the three is a river and a ferry attendant.

Rooster instructs the ferry attendant to walk Maddie and her horse back to town. Maddie cleverly breaks away—knowing the ferry attendant wouldn’t tend to her. She then prods the horse in the side prompting him to forge the river.

Rooster and Le Beouf watch slack jawed.

Maddie efficaciously crosses the river and makes it to the other side.

By then, the men comprehend the fortitude of the young woman and eventually agree to her accompanying them on the unyielding expedition.

I enjoy this film because it stirs something in me. A desire to make a difference and resolutely achieve something I may have previously thought was impossible.

And the same goes for Sarah Palin.

When I hear Sarah Palin speak or when I think of all she has accomplished despite her detractors, naysayers, enemies and ordinary road blocks; it ignites a passion in me.

Sarah Palin has such an unswerving love and respect for America unlike anything I’ve ever seen. She has such a desire not only to reveal the actuality of the state of our union but to do something about it.

Sarah Palin has the fire in the belly to hunt down, call out and reprimand the man responsible for harming the country she loves—and I gallantly join her in the strenuous journey.

“The Undefeated” Rolling Out in New Theaters

Today, ARC Entertainment, the film distributor for “The Undefeated” announced a more successful opening weekend than expected. With top markets in Phoenix, Arizona and Orange County, California attaining weekend per screen averages above $11,000 driven by several sold-out showings.

Media and advertisement for the film was mostly done through social media and grass roots efforts such as Facebook and Organize4Palin. A Facebook note by Sarah Palin on July 6th surely helped the situation via her large following (over 3 million Facebook “Likes”).

With sold-out showings and energized audience support on opening weekend, the film will be released to new markets including Tucson, AZ; West Palm, FL; Milwaukee, WI; Charlotte, NC; and Ontario, CA. The film will also expand into additional theaters in Atlanta, GA, and Phoenix, AZ, and will continue in theatres in Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Denver, CO; Orlando, FL; and Orange, CA.

Be apart of this grassroots effort to get this film released in every corner of the country! Post “The Undefeated” page on your Facebook, purchase tickets and follow “The Undefeated” on Twitter.

Promoting "The Undefeated" in North Texas

This past weekend was time well spent.

Myself, among other Organize4Palin volunteers stood outside the AMC Grapevine Mills theater, which was 1 of the 10 theaters premiering "The Undefeated"—a documentary about superwoman—I mean Sarah Palin.

It was a pleasure, for the very first time, to shake the hands of many of my fellow Facebook Patriots that I regularly speak with via the worldwide web.

There is something especially unique about Sarah Palin supporters. Not only are they energized, optimistic, confident and patriotic, but when you meet a Palin Patriot you immediately feel as if you are kindred spirits—almost like family.

And why shouldn’t we feel like family?

We all presently carry a heavy burden on our shoulders in regards to the state of our union. And what does a family do during times of trouble? They huddle together, comfort one another and devise a plan not only endure but emerge victorious.

Here are some pictures of my “family”:

An 87-year-old Palin Patriot:

Such a pleasure to meet my fellow writer, Mark America:

Organize4Palin volunteers:

After promoting the film outside, we headed inside to view the film.

The theater was packed, and for the second time it was necessary for me to sit near the very front of the theater. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining—just trying to give you an idea just how much of a success this film has been opening weekend.

When I walked into the theater, I grabbed a seat next to a stranger. I had a handful of “Sarah Palin for President” bumper stickers so I decided to offer one to the lady next to me. She graciously accepted, thanked me and went on to ask, "Was that you I read about in today's newspaper?" I replied with, "Yes ma'am, me and a few other volunteers." The lights dimmed as my response concluded.

The film opened with atrocious commentary from various media outlets. Truthfully, it hurt my heart to sit and watch. There was a snapshot of an appalling 2008 Halloween decoration of Sarah Palin being hanged with a noose around her neck. Again, my heart ached.

Like every new day we're given, there is always darkness before light. The film progressed and my heart filled with American pride.

There were numerous divisions of applause during the film. Particularly after Governor Palin’s words: “We don’t need a fundamental transformation of America; we need a fundamental restoration of all that is good in America!”

The closing of the film showcased Sarah Palin in Madison, Wisconsin where she gave a tremendous speech that concluded with: "Mr. President, GAME ON!"

That statement, was accompanied with more thunderous applause and shout-outs such as, “Run Sarah, Run!”

The credits rolled on and I asked the lady next to me if she enjoyed the film. Tears filled her eyes as she shook her head to reply 'yes'.

As I expressed how glad I was that she enjoyed the film, she sobbingly tried to explain to me: “The Tea Party and Sarah Palin remind me of the Reagan Revolution. I was your age during that time and you remind me of me. Thank you so much for all that you do.”

It’s difficult for me to watch someone cry without giving them a big hug, so I offered a hug and she held me tight for a minute.

Many wonderful memories were made this past weekend. There is truly nothing like being in a room filled with like-minded American Patriots.

Here are a few video comments I recorded after the film:

"The Undefeated": Only 8 Days Until Showtime

Only 8 days until the premiere of “The Undefeated”!

I had the privilege to watch the rough cut of this film and believe me when I emphasize just how important it is that we get as many as possible to see the film.

The “Lamestream Media” have relentlessly tried to distort Gov. Palin’s record as a public servant and destroy Gov. Palin as a national political FORCE. I believe the upcoming election will prove they have been unsuccessful; for by the grace of God she is still standing strong and we are standing behind her.

The courage, confidence and convictions of Sarah Palin are uniquely and profoundly captured in this documentary.

SUCCESS of this film is CRUCIAL to the road to the White House for Governor Palin; should she seek the presidency in 2012.

This film does what the “Lamestream Media” should have done during the 2008 election: illustrate Sarah Palin’s accomplishments as a selfless public servant.

We have 9 days to make certain the premiere of this film is a tremendous SUCCESS with an ultimate goal to get this film in theaters NATIONWIDE.

Sarah Palin Is "The Undefeated"

Last night I had the privilege to see a rough cut of "The Undefeated", soon to be released in select theaters on July 15th.

The courage, confidence and convictions of Sarah Palin are distinctively captured in this documentary.

Without any doubt in mind, the film made me come to one certain conclusion: Sarah Palin will seek the presidency in 2012.

"The Undefeated" brilliantly captivates one remarkable truth; Sarah Palin has always ran towards the fire.

Here are a few comments from supporters who viewed the film:
“The film highlights the accomplishments of Sarah Palin as a public servant. Her outstanding performance as CEO of a state with vast resources is conveyed by highlighting her accomplishments in the management of these resources for the greatest benefit of the citizens of Alaska.” –Josh Inge, Fort Worth, Texas
“I’ve always liked Sarah but I was unaware of many of her accomplishments as a public servant. I was completely blown away by the spirit in her that makes her so driven, so hard-working and yet at the same time, completely selfless.” –Juanita Hines, Rhome, Texas
“During the 2008 election I did not care for Sarah Palin. As I look back I do believe the media played a huge part in my feelings towards her. Over the past year I have been intrigued by her, so I started doing my homework. I wish everyone in America would see this film. Her record of accomplishments will blow you away, and her word is good.” –Nicole Smith, Southlake, Texas
The film will be released in select theaters on July 15th. Call everyone you know and invite them to see the film, you will not be disappointed.

In the words of Governor Palin: "Game on, Mr. President!"
