Governor Palin Heads to New Hampshire Directly After 9/3 Event

Craig Robertson of the Iowa Republican has just reported that Governor Palin is bound for New Hampshire directly after Tea Party of America's "Restoring America" rally in Indianola, Iowa:
"High level Iowa Republicans tell TheIowaRepublican.com that Sarah Palin will fly to New Hampshire following her September 3rd appearance in central Iowa. Speculation has been swirling about whether or not Palin will use her Iowa appearance in Iowa over Labor Day weekend to join the field of Republican candidates. The news that Palin is New Hampshire bound after her Iowa speech will only add to the speculation that she may be entering the Republican presidential field."
This report has been confirmed by Politico.

3 Years Ago Today My Life Changed

Meeting my hero, Governor Sarah Palin at the Oil Palace in Tyler, Texas
On this very day just 3 short years ago, my life was forever changed…

Many of you know me as a political junkie. To some of you I am a “ghostwriter” who happens to share some common interests with you. And perhaps to others, I am a stranger that you’ve never met, yet in some strange way, you feel as though we are friends.

I am no one special. I haven’t accomplished much, but I am an American. I am a proud American. I love my country in good times and in bad and I will never apologize for America.

To much of your surprise, I wasn’t always a “Rush Baby” – although, I may have been in my mother’s womb when I first started listening to Rush Limbaugh, that doesn’t mean I was born an informed American.

Actually, quite the contrary. I loathed talk radio. I never listened to the news. Embarrassingly, I had never voted before – a matter I now consider my duty as an American.

So what changed? August 29, 2008.

I’ll never forget walking through the living room as my mother had the television on, sitting there watching the news. Some gal had just stepped on the stage and began a speech. She was surrounded by her beautiful family and an enthusiastic crowd. I was literally stopped in my tracks. I stood there and listened for a moment and eventually sat down and continued to take it all in.

Looking back I’m sure it shocked my mom that I actually sat and watched something related to politics and/or the news…

I asked mom, “Who is that?” She replied, “That’s the Republican nominee’s vice presidential pick.” I replied, “A woman?” She said, “Yes, isn’t that fantastic? It’s a surprise but this is great.”

I paused. I wasn’t sure what to think. I didn’t know much of anything about politics at that time. All I knew was, I couldn’t stop listening to what this gal named Palin had to say.

At the time, I was living alone nearly 1,200 miles away from my family and Sarah Palin quickly part of my family. From that day on, I found myself jumping out of bed every morning, turning on the news, awaiting the next appearance by Governor Palin.

November 4, 2008 came along and I voted for the very first time (via an absentee ballot) for a Palin/ McCain ticket. Yes, you heard me right a PALIN/ McCain ticket.

And, to keep this short, I plan on voting for Palin at the top of the ticket in this next election.

Jedediah Bila: Stop the Non-sense, Let's Talk Facts

Conservative Blogger and Daily Caller columnist Jedediah Bila, wrote an article slapping the wrists of political pundits who’ve recently been busy attempting to either discredit Governor Palin or who've stated there is no room for her in the 2012 GOP presidential field.

Instead of joining in the speculative banter of either predicting when, where, why and how Palin may announce, Jedediah takes a different approach by discussing Palin’s noteworthy gubernatorial record in Alaska:
1. As governor in 2007, Palin was responsible for the largest veto totals in state history, while investing $1 billion in forward-funding education and fulfilling public safety and infrastructure necessities.
2. Palin invested $5 billion in state savings during a time of economic surplus.
3. Palin reduced spending by 9.5% from 2007 to 2010 and slashed earmark requests by over 80% during her time as governor.
4. Under Palin, Alaska’s total liabilities were reduced by 34.6% overall.
5. As governor, Palin was the CEO of the state and had substantial authority. As reported by The Wall Street Journal, “In Alaska, the Governor has line-item veto power over the budget and can only be overridden by a three-quarters majority of the Legislature.”
6. Palin’s free-market approach to AGIA (Alaska Gasline Inducement Act) featured full transparency with respect to competitors and no back-door meetings. It also unlocked the ConocoPhillips, BP and ExxonMobil monopoly and marked an enormous step toward energy independence.
7. Palin tossed out the corruption-ridden, structurally-flawed Petroleum Profits Tax of the Murkowski administration and put forth ACES (Alaska’s Clear and Equitable Share), which incentivized development while seeing to it that Alaskans — resource owners as per the Alaska Constitution — would receive “A CLEAR and EQUITABLE SHARE (ACES) of the value of their commonly-owned oil and gas.” The result? Alaska was left with a $12 billion surplus. Also, as reported at Big Government, “The number of oil companies filing with the Alaska Department of Revenue has doubled, indicating that competition has indeed increased. Alaska has the second most business friendly tax set-up — up two spots since the passage of ACES. Additionally, a report from Governor Parnell’s Department of Revenue indicated that 2009 yielded a record high in oil jobs.”
8. Palin held ExxonMobil’s feet to the fire when it wasn’t abiding by a lease agreement to drill in Point Thomson. (You thin-skinned hockey mom, you!) After over 25 years of sitting on leases with no activity, ExxonMobil finally got to it.
9. Palin served as president of the Alaska Conference of Mayors, chair of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, vice chair of the National Governors Association Natural Resources Committee and chair of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission.
10. Palin’s commitment to free-market competition and transparency is well-evidenced by her establishment of the Alaska Health Care Strategies Planning Council (HCSPC) and her introduction of the Alaska Health Care Transparency Act. The American Spectator points out that although it didn’t make it through the legislature, “The Alaska Health Care Transparency Act confirmed that Sarah Palin means it when she says she’s in politics to ‘challenge the status quo and to serve the common good.’ Moreover, her push for greater competition also demonstrates that she understands the potential of the free market to cure much of what ails American health care.”
Now, wasn’t that refreshing? No commentary, no opinions, just facts.

What to Expect from Governor Palin on September 3rd

"I'll be talking about this and more on September 3rd."
The simple message followed with a link to the following YouTube video:

The Tide Waits for No One

Guest submission by: Del Parker

“John Smith’s” excellent analysis two days ago, all but gave away the launch codes, while expressing a view of the truth of Sarah Palin, perhaps from as valuable a perspective as that of Stephen Bannon in The Undefeated.  Both “John Smith” and Stephen Bannon, each in his own way, used Sarah Palin’s quote about  “…a ship in harbor is safe, but that’s not why the ship was built.”  This was the chosen metaphor for the timing and launch of Sarah Palin’s Alaska Gubernatorial Campaign and for her 2012 Presidential Campaign.

Governor Palin’s interview with Megyn Kelly on Fox News Thursday is noteworthy for its timing and substance.  Megyn Kelly in her red dress, interviewing Sarah Palin in her ‘redder’ red dress, and wearing a lapel pin of the crossed flags of the U.S. and Israel, reminds me of the coming launch of that ship. Every word to me is water slapping against the hull.

Now, these sailing ships of old go out on a tide that waits for no one.  All the preparation and stores and training and personnel come together, and it is finished, and the ship sets sail.  As the timeline to launch shortens, many things get done quickly and efficiently, as there are other things that need tending to, friendships sealed, orders given, and all must be complete and ready.

There was the two-week timing of the aftermath of the Iowa Ames Straw Poll and the realization by Michele Bachmann and her supporters, that the Ames victory was not the gold medal they longed for.  Governor Palin had spent no resources, but drew alongside fully prepared and loaded, with adoring crowds at Ames, of the same fervor, as those that would be wishing their favorite sailor well, now that the time for launch was … imminent.

There was the fortuitously coinciding two-week post Ames timing, allowing for the vetting of the newest presidential contender, Gov. Rick “Algore” Perry, during which GOP Mitt “Finger in the Wind” Romney would finally become engaged, and take a stand on … something.   And there was the need for consensus to build that even Perry would take out Romney.  And the GOP alarm bells would then be tolling for others to join, all the while, time shortened and resources and money and name familiarity and organization screamed of despair and desolation, and being unprepared and unsuited to prevail.

And in the midst of all this preparation, Captain Sarah Palin, in her red dress, and crossed flags of Israel and the U.S. lapel pin, coffee cup in hand, takes the time to come out on deck, to lay hold and claim the leadership of the women’s movement:

“… I dismiss Gloria Steinham …”

“I think Gloria had had her day and her rhetoric, its over, its very passé and people like Bachmann and me and millions other women, we work inside and outside the home …we run businesses, we run for office, we put others before self, we desire to serve something greater than self in order to make the world a better place. Megyn, you do the same thing.  We ARE the women’s movement.  We illustrate equality and empowerment of other women.”

Thursday’s date was one that may well be taught in future history books, Aug 18, 2011.  The day the torch of leadership of the women’s movement passed to Sarah Louise Palin.  And notice Sarah rechristens it, as of old, “the Women’s Movement,” and no more “the Feminist Movement.”

And I look again at the calendar.  Yes, this is a week and a day before Aug 26, the 91st anniversary of the 19th Amendment becoming law: “The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex ….”

And I love the Constitution and this wording, as it is written as a right that was always there, as if in the beginning, in these United States of America, and it may not be abridged.  And Captain Palin has summoned all to hear.

And I look again at the calendar.  And the 26th is also the 2nd day of the start of the Alaska State Fair, when things really get going, and it happens to be a Friday when a certain radio show is on, and a certain phone line is always open for the only call that matters.

And even though Sarah Palin promised to go to the September 3rd Iowa Restoring America Tea Party event, as an “unannounced” candidate, one has to actually file papers later to be “officially” announced. Paper will follow.  And check, two weeks of vetting for Rick “Algore” Perry.  And check, two weeks of watching RINO GOP “Finger in the Wind” Romney take Perry’s broadsides.

So we are a week out, perhaps, and the final projects and tasks are being tended to, and all made ready, for this ship to sail, for she was never built to remain safe in port.

Governor Palin's First Campaign Video?

Governor Sarah Palin posted, just moments ago, the following video.

Game on?

'Restoring America Event' Change of Venue

Tea Party America, the organization managing the “Restoring America” event on September 3rd where Governor Sarah Palin will keynote, has announced a change of venue.

Previously located at Hawkeye Antique Acres in Waukee, Iowa the event is now going to be held at the National Balloon Classic field, east of Indianola on Iowa Highway 92 and U.S. Highway 69.

A press release regarding the event included a statement from Governor Palin:
“I’m very excited to join grassroots Iowans at the ‘Restoring America’ event over Labor Day Weekend,” Governor Palin said. “Gatherings like this of independent liberty-loving Americans from every walk of life exemplify our commitment to come together to seek solutions to the problems confronting our nation. As I’ve said many times, including at Pella during my last visit to Iowa: We don’t need a ‘fundamental transformation’ of America. We need a restoration of all that is good and strong and free. The 2012 election will be a great debate between those two conflicting visions for our country.”
The event will be held from 11am - 2pm. Admission is free, parking will be $5 per car, $40 per bus.

Below is a map of the area, visit the Tea Party of America website for more information.

Governor Palin Speaks with Fox News' Megyn Kelly

Governor Palin spoke with Fox News' Megyn Kelly this afternoon.

Palin on the President Obama’s plan new economic plan he will lay out after his vacation to Martha’s Vineyard:

“We can predict more of the same and the same for the president is failed economic policies… based on his past record to spend more, and increase taxes in order to pay for it.”

Palin on government spending:

“He [Obama] is of the mind set that incurring more debt will get us out of debt, very counterproductive… use common sense. We need to tighten our belts… reform entitlements—it will be a tough pill to swallow for a lot of people but that’s what we are going to have to do to get the debt and deficit under control… our president does not understand that. [Obama’s] mindset… to spend more and cross our fingers that we are going to be able to surface from the economic problems.”

Palin on President Obama’s vacation to Martha’s Vineyard:

“He’s very very tone deaf. I can’t believe after 3 days in the heartland he didn’t hear those things that I hear when I’m in the heartland... come on let’s buckle down and be serious about getting the country back on the right track, lets become solvent again.”

Palin predicts Obama's 10 day vacation will be cut short:

"I wouldn’t [go on vacation], especially not to Martha’s Vineyard. I fear that what our president is gonna do is keep his head in sand and ignore what the American public is saying… in a few days his advisers will tell him he needs to get back to White House and he needs to start working on a bi-partisan measure with congress and start plugging in these solutions.”

Palin on the Rick Perry vs. Obama exchange:

“More power to Perry calling like he sees it… and the president did elevate Perry… that rascal rhetoric he uses in Texas and the president took issue to it… just evidence of the president’s arrogance to tell presidential candidates what to say, what not to say. I wish President Obama would stay focused on what really matters. Just do what makes sense to get economy back on the right track.”

Palin on the Newsweek cover of Michelle Bachmann:

“Bottom line every candidate will be vetted now even more so than ever because we learned a lesson electing the president who was not vetted by mainstream media. Basically, we are asking now, what did we get out of it? We got an inexperienced president who made a lot of promises—glittery generalities, promised utopia for country and look where we are now… We need someone with executive experience, someone who has gone through the fire someone who the American public knows their background and associations, knows what has shaped them and where that person is coming from in order to apply policies that affect our daily lives.”

Palin on Gloria Steinem’s comments:

“I think Gloria had had her day and her rhetoric, its over, its very passé and people like Bachmann and me and millions other women, we work inside and outside the home…  we run businesses, we run for office, we put others before self, we desire to serve something greater than self in order to make the world a better place. We ARE the women’s movement; we illustrate equality and empowerment of other women.”

Palin on being a possible 2012 presidential candidate:

“I am still considering [a run for the presidency] and I do want to help change the world for the better place, along with millions of other conscientious Americans who know America deserves better than what we are getting from the political bubble in Washington DC.”

Waiting on Servant Palin

A huge victory for the Tea Party this evening, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann won the Iowa Straw Poll in the first big test of the 2012 Republican presidential race.

You’re probably wondering how Bachmann’s victory could have anything to do with a Palin candidacy but it's pretty simple really; Sarah Palin is part of the Tea Party and Michele Bachmann wants to be the face of the Tea Party.

Don't get me wrong, I have much respect for Congresswoman Bachmann. She has stood firm in her convictions, has steadfastly taken a stand for conservative policies and has immense courage to fight against President Obama and his radical agenda.

So, who's on first? Palin or Bachmann?

It's a free country (as of today) and I am blessed to be able to express my opinion, so here it is: the Tea Party is on first and Governor Palin has been right there with us every step of the way. Not only has she stood in the crowd among us but she helped grow the Tea Party. She helped awaken a sleeping America. Her strong words to fight for liberty resonated with everyday average Americans across the nation. She has continued to express, "the Tea Party doesn't need a leader, it's a movement of the people", and she's right—we don't need a leader and we don't want a leader.

And what about Michele?

Bachmann stepped in to be the face of the Tea Party movement. Here's the thing Michele, we don't want a "face" of a movement of 'We the People'. The only face(s) we will accept are the faces of our forefathers.

We simply want someone who has stood beside us during this time of suffering. We want someone who has been fighting right along side us. We want someone who doesn't need a title to make a difference, someone who would only choose to serve if we called upon them for the burdening responsibility. And Sarah, we need you.

The presidency is a sacrifice—to those who truly want to better the nation. The presidency is comparable to military service. It's not something you happily sign up for. Nobody excitedly takes on the challenge of service which likely includes getting bullets fired at you.

I want the heart of a veteran—a servant. I choose the American that has stood beside me during these past three devastating years. Someone who has felt my pain, who has hurt when I hurt, who has carried the same heavy burdens I carry.

I will not choose a candidate who chooses to serve just to check off "president" from their list of accomplishments. I choose the one who has stood beside me every moment since Barack Obama took office. When I cried the night Obama was declared the 2008 victor, Sarah Palin cried along with me.

America, you are hurting and we will NOT survive this battle without the heart of a servant—one that will lay it all down for pure love for country.

Congratulations Michele on your victory in Iowa, but I’m still waiting on Servant Palin.

Palin: 'You Won't Be Able to Miss the Announcement'

Could Governor Palin make a 'big' announcement in Des Moines, Iowa on September 3rd?

Several bloggers, including TexansforSarahPalin, have noted that Palin told the Associated Press yesterday that her forthcoming presidential announcement will be unmistakably clear.

Palin's exact quote:
"When we’re ready to announce… you won’t be able to miss the announcement."

Governor Palin Speaks to Hannity at the Iowa State Fair

Tonight Governor Sarah Palin was in the Hawkeye State visiting the Iowa State Fair, Sean Hannity had the chance to sit down with the Governor and ask a few questions amongst an enthusiastic crowd.

Hannity asked about tomorrow's Iowa Straw Poll and where Governor Palin was on her decision about 2012: "I am still considering a run," said Palin to thunderous applause and cheering. "I think the good folks here in Iowa believe it's time this country is put back on the right track and they are ready for some positive change that will allow that!” Palin said to more crowd applause and cheering.

Regarding last night's debate, Palin said, "I’m thankful some folks took of some gloves [Newt Gingrich], people deserve candidates that are passionate."

Hannity continued, "You've been beaten up and you bounce back, how do you do it?"

Palin said, "It's human nature, we make a choice how we react. We can become bitter or better. We're used to being beaten up and we chose to be better."

When asked if what we see what is going on around the world in Europe and various other countries; could come to America, Palin said, "Absolutely. We should not be naive enough to put our head in sand... if we repeat the mistakes they have made, the out of control government spending, we are naive to think that we are not going to end up the same way. We know the solutions it's just a matter of applying them." Palin continued, "Even the 10 year deal we just passed, we're not going to solve problem... we're not digging to the root of problem."

When asked about the newly elected subcommittee, Palin responded, "I agree with some of the candidates last night, it's a stupid idea. More government bureaucrats... I'll bet you can go out here (pointing to the crowd) and find 10 members… find 10 farmers and they can tell you what can we do to make cuts to get the economic engine up and running and going and thriving and they can give you a better idea than those 10 members [on the subcommittee]. These [subcommittee] members have been part of the problem not the solution— with all do respect— no more of the same... no more politics as usual!" The crowd cheered.

On the debt downgrade, and out of control government spending, Palin said, "[During the debt debate] the American public told them what to do... cut the spending, cap the budget and balance the budget, now we are saying cut the crap and balance!"

Hannity asked Governor Palin if she didn't see a candidate emerging whom she could support, would she jump in the race, Palin said, "I've described the passion as a fire in the belly and it's not just me… that passion is real sincere, I love this country, these folks love this country and we want to make sure we hand the next generation blessings of liberty."

When asked on what specifically a President Palin would do to turn around the country, Palin said, "Cut back all spending... there is so much the state governments could be doing... department of education [for instance] states should have control of a curriculum... that applies to every area in respect to the 10th amendment. Let state rights shine through and empower people of America."

Palin continued, on the fundamental problem of DC, "No faith in the American people... (pointing to the crowd) YOU know how to spend your money better than DC!" Palin said to more applause and cheering.

When asked how to breakthrough all the propaganda and lies the democrats spew, Palin responded, "That's your job and my job. To bust through the lies and hold them accountable and make sure they are not getting away with telling people that government is the answer, government is the problem— look what's happening around world, let's not repeat what's on going around the world."

Palin Will Not Attend Tomorrow's Iowa Straw Poll

Today Governor Sarah Palin made an appearance at the Iowa State Fair attracting a slew of media.

Palin will skip out on tomorrow's Straw Poll, saying she will be in Iowa just for one day, “I don’t want to step on anybody’s toes so I won’t be in the state tomorrow. We’ll already be on the bus, heading out of here."

Palin laughed and didn't respond when asked if supporters should write in her name at the contest at Iowa State University. She also declined to say who her supporters should cast ballots for in her place, and said it is was still too early for her to decide who to support if she didn't throw her hat into the ring.

Of course the big question was asked about whether or not she would make a run for the White House, and although she didn't give a solid answer, Palin emphasized it would be "very grassroots" and pledged to run a different kind of campaign:
"Each campaign that I've ever run in these 20 years of elected office has been kind of unconventional, right, Todd? I've always been outspent 2:1, 5:1, 10:1. I never won any polls heading into election night but usually won the election."

UPDATED: Governor Palin Spotted and Swarmed at the Iowa State Fair

Governor Palin is visiting the Iowa State Fair today as speculation about a possible presidential bid continues to mount.

Palin came, in black Suburbans, to the cattle barn as Rick Santorum was speaking on the fair soap box and Tim Pawlenty was grilling pork on a stick. She was immediately surrounded by a crowd of reporters and fairgoers.

Governor Palin and her family inspected cattle at the fair while journalists crowded barn walkways as Palin toured fair exhibits.

"One Nation" Bus Tour Rolls On

Today, Governor Palin's political action committee (SarahPAC) posted the following statement:
"We are very happy to jump back on the bus for another leg of our "One Nation Tour"! We accept with gratefulness an invitation to meet folks at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines this week. The heartland is perfect territory for more of the One Nation Tour as we put forth efforts to revitalize the fundamental restoration of America by highlighting our nation’s heart, history, and founding principles."
In a newsletter sent out by SarahPAC more information continued:
"In a grossly weakened economy - especially when recovery is thwarted by today's Obamanomics - prudent Americans make sensible decisions to live within their means. This includes seeking affordable participation in more community events, local patriotic parades, and traditional all-American venues like state fairs. State fairs hold a special place in our nation's history and heritage, so my family is honored to highlight one of them on one stop along the One Nation Tour route - America's historic Iowa State Fair! (I'm also excited to try some of that famous fried butter-on-a-stick, fried cheesecake-on-a-stick, fried twinkies, etc. I'll enjoy them in honor of those who'd rather make us just "eat our peas"!)
Unlike next week's Obama Bus Tour, taxpayers aren't funding our tour, which is why we so appreciate your support in allowing us to be out there on the open road to visit with you to highlight small towns, big-hearted people, and the important role they play in our most exceptional nation."
SarahPAC also posted a new YouTube video entitled, "Always Proud":

Show your support for the Fundamental Restoration of America and the "One Nation Tour" by making a donation to SarahPAC and by following the bus tour on the SarahPAC website.

Governor Palin: Leading the Fight on Debt with the Record to Prove It

Tonight Governor Palin retweeted Conservatives 4 Palin very own Whitney Pitcher’s tweet regarding Palin’s conservative governing in the state of Alaska.

The original post by Pennsylvania 4 Palin expands on this topic by comparing and contrasting the records of Governor Palin, Governor Rick Perry of Texas, Governor Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota, Governor Mitt Romney of New Hampshire, and Governor Jon Huntsman of Utah—in dealing with state debt and liabilities.

Compared to all other candidates and potential candidates, Governor Palin increased the debt at a much slower rate and reduced total liabilities at a much higher rate than any of her fellow governors.

What I find most interesting about Governor Palin retweeting this tweet is not only the fact that she is showcasing her achievements as Governor but if you read the last sentence it states: “Now is the time for a President who already has “womaned up” and led on a state level and is ready to do the same on a federal level.”

And political pundits continue to assert Governor Palin’s disinterest in the 2012 election? How funny.

Governor Palin on Hannity: "2012 Can't Come Soon Enough"

Tonight Governor Sarah Palin was on the Fox News channel with Sean Hannity discussing the debt debate, the road to 2012, and the fire between Democrats, Republicans and the Tea Party.

"I'm gonna stick up for people who at this point are being called terrorists and being accused of waging jihad against our own country... enough is enough and I'm not going to sit here and take it anymore... if we were terrorists, he’d (Obama) would want to pal around with us."

She also chastised Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney for not voicing his position on the debt-ceiling debate sooner, "Bless his heart, I have respect for Mitt Romney, but I do not have respect for what he has done through this debt increase debate, he did this [waving her pointer finger around as if to 'test the winds'], he waited until it was a done deal that we would increase the debt ceiling and more money would be spent, more money would be borrowed and spent on bigger government, and then he came out and made a statement that he didn't like the deal after all. You can't defer an issue and assume that the problem is then going to be avoided." She continued, "You're inviting a crisis, don't just wait and sit back."

Palin maintained that she's an optimist heading into this next election cycle and as for President Barack Obama, Palin offered, "He is so off base in this that I tell you, 2012 cannot come soon enough."

Governor Palin on Greta: Tea Party Getting Used to Being Called Names

Tonight Governor Palin spoke with Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren about the 'great debt debate' and Joe Biden’s comments regarding the Tea Party.

Palin called Vice President Joe Biden's remarks on the tea party "quite vile." Palin went on to say, "independent patriots who happen to be believers in tea party principles are getting kind of used to being called names."

She continued, "Perhaps some of these talking heads and liberal politicians, perhaps they thought [tea party congressmen] were going to be just typical politicians who get into office and they change their stripes… It should not come as any surprise when they're sticking to their principles," she said.

However, she voiced discontentment with the concessions made to the president, and blasted the Republican Congressional leadership: "What happened to the pledge that our Congress has made to America, saying they would post bills online three days before they voted on them?" she said. "They've already broken that pledge, and doggone it, that's what makes us disappointed in politicians in Washington, D.C."
